Jambalaya Jubilee

Educate * Encourage * Entertain

Jambalaya JubileeThe Jambalaya Jubilee is an annual event designed to help children with arthritis, rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders and their families. When a family has a child who suffers from a chronic health problem, the entire family is affected. Jambalaya Jubilee encourages families to learn about the disease, gain encouragement from staff and others who suffer from the same disease and enjoy time away from their daily concerns with people who understand the hardships they face.

This annual retreat is held on the beautiful campus of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport. To keep costs low, campers and their families stay in dorms that have been vacated for the summer.

Jambalaya Jubilee is open to children (through age 18) with arthritis, rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders and their immediate families. Children cannot attend without a parent. All children must have an adult parent or legal guardian stay in the dorm room with them. All campers must bring their own bed linens (twin size), pillows, towels, washcloths, toiletries and other items they may need for the weekend event.
